Wyndcrest Condominium
Winterberry Lane
Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510

Dear Resident:

We write on behalf of the Board of Managers again, with basic reminders regarding parking.

Resident parking - Residents shall be considered in violation of parking rules if any of the following occur; (a) parking in a visitor space for four (4) hours or more; (b) parking in a visitor space regularly, and (c) parking in a visitor space as if the area were for the residents exclusive use.

Street / Visitor parking – Wyndcrest parking rules prohibit on-street parking. The monitoring of cars parked in the street in front of units on Winterberry Lane has become an unending task. No matter the number of notices to owners, compliance with parking regulations is fleeting, at best. Unit owners are responsible for insuring that nannies, house-keepers, relatives, short-term visitors, etc., park in the VISITORS spaces available on both sides of the street and at the cul-de-sac. Visitor spaces in the circle are frequently available, but visitors, employees, etc., are either not being told to park there, or are simply too lazy to walk to/from the visitors parking. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR UNIT OWNERS AND THEIR VISITORS IGNORING THE RULES, ESPECIALLY WHEN VISITORS PARKING IS AVAILABLE. With the limited street width and sight lines on Winterberry compliance with parking regulations is an issue of community SAFETY, not personal comfort and convenience.

Snow Removal - Despite the need to keep streets clear of vehicles that hinder snow removal efforts, residents continue to park on the street during and immediately after winter storms. Effective immediately, any car parked in the street during a winter storm (snow or ice) will be immediately TOWED. Vehicles towed from the premises may be recovered from Alex’s Towing, Tarrytown, NY, telephone 631-9238.

The parking rules are actively enforced and fines imposed for violations. The Board would prefer to address more important issues benefiting the Condominium, but the actions of a few recalcitrant owners continue to demand the Board’s time and resources.

Sincerely

Wesley Woodlief
