Roads, Firelanes & Fences
8 July 2005
Wyndcrest Condominium Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510
Dear Resident:
We write concerning three important matters of Condominium business for your attention.
Fire Lanes – last year the Village of Briarcliff enacted a local law requiring the installation of designated ‘fire lanes’ at all multiple unit dwellings (Condominiums, Cooperatives, apartment complexes, etc.) The Village is now implementing the law at Wyndcrest, with painting of fire lane markings and installation of warning signs scheduled for the week beginning Monday, July 18th. The fire lane will be installed on the side of each street (Deertree and Winterberry) where fire hydrants currently exist. The Village Police Department will ticket and/or tow all parking violators. Since Wyndcrest parking rules prohibit on-street parking, this should not prove a difficulty for residents. Parking violations on the opposite side of each street will continue to be monitored by the Condominium Board and appropriate fines will be levied.
Fences – the Condominium has contracted for power washing of the 4” white plastic perimeter fencing and small ‘privacy’ fences dividing the unit rear yards. This work will be done by Extreme Steam, over a three (3) day period. The work is scheduled for Monday, July 18th through Wednesday, July 20th. Each resident MUST remove all personal property (chairs, toys, garden tools, etc.) stored on or near the privacy fences for the three days in question. The vendor will not move personal property and if it blocks access to the fence, it will not be cleaned.
Roadways – some additional work will be done to the Condominium roads next week. The ‘red’ paving at each street entrance will receive another coat of paint, the parking lot at the foot of Deertree Lane will be resealed, speed bumps on Winterberry Lane will be painted and several storm drains will be repaired. The only temporary displacement of vehicles will be closing of the parking lot for approximately 24 hours. You will receive a separate notice of the exact date for this work. Any car parked in the lot on the designated day will be towed at the vehicle owner’s sole liability and expense.
If you have any questions on these, or any other matters of Condominium business, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely
Wesley Woodlief
